Comfortable Living is Another Advantage of Franklin County

A major advantage that Franklin County has to offer is it's high quality of living. Affordable real estate, low property taxes, abundant resources, quality recreation and clean air make the area one of the most attractive regions of the Southeast.
Throughout Franklin County, large and elegantly styled homes dot the beautiful wooded hills and valleys that give the area a mark of distinction. There are beautiful homes listed in the historical register, some from as far back as the 1800's. Numerous options of lifestyle and living help to meet virtually anyone's taste in housing. Average cost of homes is around $62,800. This means residents get much more value for their dollar in comparison to many areas.

Recreation also plays a large part in Franklin County's attraction. Bear Creek Lakes boasts the cleanest water in the entire state, with record setting bass abounding in their 8000 plus acres of fresh water.

Golf may also be enjoyed nearly year round, thanks to the warm climate and clean air.

Hunting also is extremely popular, with abundant game and wildlife.

Crime rates are extremely low. With a fairly small population, there is a definite sense of old fashioned family values and a friendly atmosphere.
