Transportation

The future Interstate 22 is a short distance away from Franklin County using U.S. Highway 43. Once completed, the interstate will allow for quicker transportation between Memphis and Birmingham and to other cities in the southeast, including Atlanta.

Other major routes in the county include Alabama Highway 24, Corridor V. Franklin County’s extensive highway network connects the county with major southeastern markets, as well as key industries such as the automotive and aerospace industries.
